Art Of The Stitch is a major international open biennial exhibition presented by The Embroiderers' Guild in association with Coats Crafts.

It aims to represent the role of stitch in contemporary artistic practice .

Soldier Boy

"My piece shows my husband in the nude, surrounded by a frame of the Grenadier Guards regimental colours. He holds a toy soldier on his lap, his undisclosed aspirations emerging from his head as sheeps wool & ladder. The regimental colours are painted in watercolour on to bed-linen with remaining composition stitched in cotton thread by hand, on to linen, over a blanket base ."
