KATE GREEN – RECENT WORK: November 2011 - EXHIBITION.

Recycling with a classy twist and yet so much more ...

My art work documents the landscape of my heart - the bits a camera or computer can never reach... and when not anchoring my own vision onto canvas, I am to be found helping others on their own creative path. I also work as a Creativity Coach, helping others find their own creative voice.

My images are a mixture of materials; usually paint on antique bed-linen with th addition of buttons, fabric and stitch. The images are built on wonven blacnkets, often incorporating the blanket-stitched edges. The work reflects my spiritual search, the comfort of faith, memories of childhood, the struggles of being grown-up.

I am inspired by toys, poetry, snippets of conversation and the child within us all. I get out of bed each morning for colour and story. Colour and emotion are on, to me. I aim to share with you my faith, joys and struggles - my story.
